About
Kay Roze was born Kyrie Peters in Hartford, Connecticut. He moved to Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 8. By age 11 he would follow after his older brother to pursue a basketball career. That career fell short around his junior year in high school. When he graduated from Mallard Creek High School, he began his music career in July of 2016. He started off making sounds with the music group Know Name on the music platform of SoundCloud. He was offered to join the group but kindly denied because he wanted to build his own name. He has released 2 EP’s and many more songs on the SoundCloud platform. He came across Naab, an old friend that he met in Summer Camp from his youth, via Instagram. They collaborated and made a heavy hitting song “Reminiscing” in 2017. Making a strong comeback in 2019, Kay Roze released a massive EP titled “The Recessional.” A 10 song project that exposed his versatility in hip-hop that hasn’t been done before. With songs such as Recovery, Aura, For Real, Apron, and What is Love?, He extends his hand out in different realms of hip-hop. The hunger doesn’t end there! 5 months later, on July 17th, 2019, he releases what he calls a quick snack “Dark Side of the Roze.” Another versatile EP that expands his range. Songs like Infidelity, Pt. 2 and Sultan’s Daughter, he enters the deep realms of his tainted love life and paints a vivid picture of what he saw and what he felt. On July 25th, Kay Roze announced that on August 7th, 2019. A project which would soon be called PHASES will be released. Due to production difficulties, he chose to push the tape back a month to September 7th, 2019! PHASES will be available on all premium platforms September 7th, 2019!
