Kayo Da Beast, a musical artist, songwriter, and producer from St. Petersburg, FL, channels his life experiences into music that blends pain, hope, and truth. Born Khalif Rashid Brooks in Philadelphia, he overcame early hardship, including the loss of his mother and his father's imprisonment. Finding his voice through rapping and singing in 2010, he honed his skills, drawing inspiration from music icons like Lauryn Hill, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Drake, J-Cole and Kendrick Lamar, as well as gospel, R&B, and Classical music. Kayo Da Beast, meaning "Knowledge Above Your Oppression," aims to inspire and uplift through his performances and releases, connecting with diverse audiences and sharing his message of hope.
