It’s ya boy A-Live aka King-D! Music has been in my soul since the day I was born. As a kid I would play the drums in church with my family and I always knew I would make music. My love for the art solidified when I won best poems in school back in 4th grade. My teacher told me to never stop writing poems and I didn’t! Back in 2006 I started a rap group with some friends and family. We started out as Ghost riders before eventually becoming the Young Ridas. My love for music only increased as I performed songs for small crowds in the streets. The name King-D was given to me by a member of that group because it reflected my style of rap. Before then I went by my nickname at the time Big D! Eventually my life took a turn for the worst and I had to take a long hiatus from my passion. This is when I became a well known free stylist in my town. The way I could drop bars off the dome was unparalleled and I’ve been compared many times to my idol Lil Wayne . Now I’m making a comeback into the music scene trying to re-ignite my passion! Who knows what the future will bring but one things for sure and two things for certain; the only way from the bottom is up!
