SUMMARY:
I'm just a “Smuve” native from the Westside of Atlanta with a wild story to tell. Every song I create comes from a page out my book. Care to hear my story? Follow my iG: @kingsmuve & TIKTOK: @smuifa to get a bigger picture of me and how I went from that rough “Lil Homie” to “Smuuwee”
King Smuve 📿
BIO:
Born in Atlanta, Ga to Consuela and Edwin Sr in the middle of the roughest time in the city. Growing up around ambitious peers that was edger to get out of hood, he developed a fast money mindset. Still remembering who his parent are, he managed to appear on a straight and narrow. Not revealing what would crush his parents heart and staying Smooth. Music became a passion when sitting in the room thinking of ways to get rich. Playing instruments and beating on tables sparked a more musically inclined infatuation. From there he studied music theory to escape what was going on in his neighborhood. Struggling to finish school, gambling streets and books, he managed to graduate. Joined the Marine Corps and fell in love with music. There he learned DAWs as Fruity Loops and Logic. Further he learned how to fully operate the studio equipment from purchasing his own. For many years he would record local atlanta artist to build experience and clientele. After 5 years he figured that it was his gift and talent to not only record and produce music but to perform songs that he made playing around. It only took one show to resized that this was his calling. Music was so good from the beginning he was offered to go on the road with Major A-List Artist ie; Migos, Lil Durk, Lil Keed, Rod Wave, Black Yungsta, Fredo Bang, Jacquees and many more. Between the years he lost family members and love ones due to deaths and the system but he manage to keep pushing new ideas and songs. Although, he wasn't releasing anything, he kept elevating. Before covid took over, it was offers on the table. Biggest one being from Cash Money Records. Taked to Birdman and Slim, had contract in hand. Then that happened. It made him go harder. He was a little discouraged but figured since they offered one deal then it has to be more coming long as he kept going. He went to work in Atlanta, Colorado, Florida, and North Carolina. He got his first feature from T-Rell but felt like he cheated him out of a good song for a quick verse. Unfortunately, they never released the song. Found out his father had cancer and it made him go into overdrive. Traveling for music he got connected to some big names it wasn't until he got a call from his family in Atlanta saying it was an emergency with his dad that made him realized that he was running out of time. Flew to atlanta his dad was dying but he requested that his granddaughter was present. so he flew out that day to get his daughter for his dad. 2 hours after landing his father passed away but went right to work spiritually. 30 minutes after his passing Slim 400 walked into the studio and wanted to get on one of King Smuve's songs. The next day they shot the video. That gave him even more motivation to keep going. He got opportunities to write and engineer more from there he was a household name. Shows around the southern region and radio appearances had him booked. For a good year. Then came depression. He couldn't shake everyday problems and was getting caught up in the system trying to maintain what he thought was a promising dream. Sleeping in his car and showering when could put him in a dark place. Seem like he had lost everything there was to gain and couldn't get it back. Family abandoned him. Friends didn't believe. Even business partners gave up. Again, it never broke him. He build a fanbase from TikTok every night going live and growing his audience to true supporters. Played music and told his story thru the music. After 8 Months he was back on his feet and back recording only this time with a purpose. He understood the reason of losing everything and why it was beneficial for him at the time. It built patience, faith and passion. Now when problems present themselves he uses it as educational purposes only all while sharing the experience through music, melodies and words.
