WHO IS KLASSIX JONES?
Ishmael “Klassix” Jones was born in Monroe, LA on May 21, 1985 to Ray and Carolyn Jones. At the age of seven he took an interest in music. His father knew he had a unique ear for music so he enrolled Klassix into piano lessons. This was the start of his musical career. At the age of 15, he was required to write a song for an English project. Luckily for Klassix he had just received his first 6 track keyboard. Klassix produced the song with several other classmates receiving an “A” on the project. This was the moment where his community knew he was a sure talent. After that experience, he would spend countless hours at his next door neighbor's house, who were the top producers in his hometown. As luck may have it, it turned out that Klassix was cousins with the dynamic duo. While at his relatives house he would get vital information from the “Beat How You Want Em’ ” camp in regards to music production, songwriting, and audio recording. As Klassix shaped his craft, he began to make a name for himself in his hometown. At the age of 18, He relocated to Murfreesboro, TN to attend Middle Tennessee State University. It was here where he met a multitude of artists that would further his production skills. After three semesters, He decide to drop out of college and enroll into SAE institute for audio engineering. Klassix realized this was a faster pace option to success in the music industry. In 2007, Equipped with the knowledge he gained at SAE, klassix relocated back to his hometown of Monroe, LA. With the support of his father, he created a recording studio in the back of his father’s house. With him being back in his natural setting Klassix production demand skyrocketed. He would work with artists from sun up to sun down. In 2008, Klassix was introduced to rising local talent, Louisiana Ca$h. The two hit the ground running hard. Less than a year later they saw their hard work pay off. Ca$h released “Walk wit a Dip” which snowball into stardom for the duo. In 2009, “Walk Wit A Dip” found its way to the Billboard hip -hop/rap charts. Ranking at high of #69.
