La Ban

LaBan is a Christian Artist, born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and is now a resident of Havelock, North Carolina. He started journey into music at an early age. He started rapping at the age of 9 and singing at the age of 13. He started writing songs at the age of 14. He credits his grandmother as his biggest influences. “I would often hear my grandmother sing or hum a tune whenever she was in the kitchen. Everyone loves her voice”. He also lists Chris Brown, Dru Bex, Steven Malcolm, Lecrae, Brandon Lake, William Murphy, William McDowell, Donnie McClurkin, and many others as major influences. LaBan started in the realm of doing secular music and after finding the Lord and getting saved, he quickly had a shift in his music. “I found it hard to make the transition because music was just a passion of mine, but if God gave me this talent who am I to use it wrongfully. I want to use it for His Glory.” The music that you will hear from LaBan is inspiring. There is a strong message behind the lyrics of all of his songs such as True Blood, My Escape, Ocean Deep, and many other songs.
