Lacherii, also known as the Fusion Goddess, emerged from the tension between society’s expectations and an inner knowing that she has always been “meant for more”. An England-based Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and vocal chameleon, she weaves tales of love, power and femininity into music that is both vulnerable and powerful, rooted in self-love, growth and liberation and carrying the spirit of Pan-Africanism. A multi-hyphenate, she is more than a singer. Lacherii makes music for the Black woman who won’t be boxed in: soft yet fierce, deep yet free, and wearing many hats. Some songs are late-night, lustful and sensual; others are pure dancefloor energy. One thing is certain: she is resourceful, and she knows exactly who she is. Men listen too. Beneath the empowering sex appeal, her music invites them to understand, respect and uplift women, because a good man is adored too. She makes space for those stuck in-between, the outside looking in, the visionaries and the black sheep, encouraging them to be unapologetically human, to embrace their uniqueness and to take on the radical responsibility of building their own empire from scratch. Her latest project, “Unfolding Her”, is an experimental four-song story of the skins she has shed, from seeking validation in love to self-doubt, on her path to becoming a woman more certain than ever of her purpose. It is a look back that paves the way forward to her EP in 2027. 🦋
