About
Claire Jean Charles is the daughter of Mrs. Anne Jean Louis and Pastor Ernest Jean Charles. The youngest in a family of four children, she demonstrated her singing talent from the age of 7 and naturally moved into the world of Gospel music, singing with equal ease in Creole, French, and English. Since then, CLAIRE has participated in numerous Gospel events in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Hollywood, Florida, Barbados, New Orleans, and her beloved home country, Haiti.
In 1986, she began piano lessons and sang in the choir of the Conservatory of Modern Music. The following year, she won the title of Singer of the Year at the Christian Artists Gala.
She opened for a major concert by the renowned artist Shirley Caesar and also participated in the Gospel Music Workshop alongside famous guest artists such as Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, John P. Kee, and others.
She also took part in concerts organized in support of the community works of Union United Church, featuring the incomparable jazz pianist Oliver Jones, and she also appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel on BET.
In the year 2000, she introduced herself to the public with the release of her first English album, The Lord Is My Strength, followed by three other albums in Creole and French, the latest titled Christ Se Solisyon.
Claire Jean Charles possesses a Gospel voice that people always deeply enjoy hearing day after day, and she wishes to spend the rest of her life praising and singing the name of the Lord because of all He has done for her, especially by healing her from cancer in the early 2000s.
