Light Chyna

Light Chyna known by all her friends as “Chyna” (named Shekinah Christian by her mom)was born and raised in the South in the small town of Meridian, Mississippi, home of world renowned artists such as David and Jimmy Ruffin (Temptations), Big Krit, Jimmy Rodgers (Father of Country Music) among others. Chyna is an upcoming artist from Mississippi like others who hail from the state like Rick Ross, Big K.R.I.T, and Rae Sremmurd. Chyna has always had a love for music since childhood often singing in various choirs and playing in the school band. Her real love for music came from her hearing and watching her mom Gloria Christian, a Gospel artist and minister of music teach, sing, and travel while ministering and meeting other various music industry personalities and artists. When asked what style or genre her music should be considered as Chyna stated ..."My music varies. I listen to so many styles and varieties of music that influence my style, I don't like to be labeled or put into a box. If I had to choose I would just say that I’m a New generation of R&B". Some of the artists Chyna says she hopes to work with such artists as Chris Brown, J.Cole, Miguel, Jaden Smith, H.E.R. among others.
