About
My name is Jordan Simmons, professionally known as Lil Franchize, an independent rapper born and raised in Northwest Indiana (219).
Music has always been part of my life — from growing up near the influence of one of the greatest artists of all time, Michael Jackson, to being inspired by my father, who was also a local rapper. I began rapping as a young teenager and adopted the name “Franchize” because of the confidence I had early on — I always believed my music was a business worth investing in.
I dropped my first song, “Never Imagined It,” on YouTube in 2013, which received strong feedback and pushed me to take music seriously. From 2014–2018, I was part of the group Top Flight Entertainment (TFE), where I proved I could lyrically compete with older artists. During that time, our work earned recognition such as “Best ATL Artists” by Atlanta’s 3KMG Radio, and I was featured as a Top 25 Artist in Benzino’s Hip Hop Weekly Magazine.
In 2019, I went solo and released my debut album “Road To Riches,” hosted by Chicago producer DJ Shon. The project showcased my confidence and vision, supported by music videos like “Made For This” and “All Switch.”
In 2021, I expanded my brand through United Masters, launching lilfranchize.com and my clothing line Lil Franchize Merch, both of which are still active. In 2023, I released a collaborative EP titled “Make It Look EZ” with Gary, Indiana artist Ego Eleven, blending lyricism and club-ready records that showed our chemistry and versatility.
Since 2024, I’ve been building toward my next album, releasing records like “Link” and my latest music video “Rollin Up,” continuing to evolve with stronger hooks, wider flows, and sharper production.
I’ve performed in Gary, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and placed 3rd at The Showcase Tour in Indianapolis, as well as opened for artists including Twista, King Louie, and the Ying Yang Twins.
