Originally hailing from Fresno, California, and now making waves out of Norfolk, Virginia, Luigi Lee (born Mensah Khalid Smith) has been honing his craft since the age of 13. Inspired by the hustle and wordplay of legends like Lil Wayne, Young Dolph, and Gucci Mane, Luigi brings a raw, unfiltered energy to every track.
He is best known for his signature creative process: high-stakes freestyling through four-line punching that engineers use in order to capture his raw energy that fills the room with his ambitions witty wordplay. This "moment-to-moment" recording style captures an authenticity that can't be scripted, resulting in hard-hitting anthems like his 2026 breakout single, "Good Morning."
Beyond the booth, Luigi Lee is a strategist and entrepreneur. In 2022, he founded Don Matic Entertainment LLC (D.M.E.), establishing himself as a powerhouse in the independent music scene.
