About
Jerry Townsend, better known for his producing moniker, M-Eiighty, was born on the South Side of Chicago. His family later moved to Flint, Mi where he learned some tough values about living life despite opposition. Coming from a talented background full of Musicians, Artists & Play Writes, he was bound to fall in one of the categories. His grandfather sang with Nat King Cole, while his aunt performed with Frankie Beverly and Maze. Two uncles performed as a duo called Yo Higness and his cousin, Cindy Herron is a member of the world wide famous R&B group En Vogue. With suck an enriched background of the performing arts, he was bound to have some form of artistry.
In 97-98, realizing he lacked the vocal chords, he embarked on a journey to create music. Fingaprintz productions was then born. The concept of the name was that every human on earth has a unique marker all their own. Not one is alike. At the time, Dr. Dre, Timbaland and a host of other super producers flooded the mainstream airwaves and each was recognizable in their own right. So, to be different, M-Eiighty, chose this name to establish a variety of genres early on, embracing all forms of music. Production for Artists, Art Galleries, Skating events, Tv Pilots and Movie Scores. He saw the value of creating multiple lanes for multiple creative minds. Creating the thought of "If you can imagine it, I can create it."
Fast Forward to current time, now in the Mecca of Black Entertainment, Atlanta, GA, M-Eiighty has produced 2 critically acclaimed projects, Been apart of countless shows and competitions as a judge. All while continuing his promise to create content from the corner of minds with vision.
