MACABR3

After a decade of exploring and experimenting with a number of different tempos and sound design with an industrial, hard edge aesthetic - the artist we know as MACABR3 [Pronounced: MA-COB] was finally born. MACABR3's passion for music was discovered at an early age when she took her first piano and guitar lessons as a child in her hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina. She learned how to write her own music with her instruments as a kid and years later, after getting her DAW of choice, Abelton, this self-taught producer figured out how to put the whole package together. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2008, she bopped around different music scenes in the city, trying to find her place. She was a local DJ in Los Angeles for many years, mainly spinning dance music, specifically drum and bass, under her other artist alias, Soothslayer. After experimenting with a variety of different electronic music productions she finally started to record her own voice on her tracks. The passion, purity and power within her lyrics quickly caught the ears of like-minded individuals and she began to grow into her own unique entity with an edgy aesthetic and industrial inspired electronic sound. Her eclectic taste for all music shows in her versatile collection of different genres she produces which includes everything from hip hop and trap to techno and even dark indie pop. She is no stranger to the occult and the ethereal and eerie visual display she concocts in her music videos are extremely perverse and abject yet stunning in every way. She can easily turn something morbid into beauty and you can tell the complex hallways of her mind are vast and exploding with passion. There is no doubting that MACABR3 has found her calling and her voice and we are here for every minute of it.
