Maddy is a writer, musician and educator born and raised in Seattle. Currently based in Oakland, she’s spent the past ten years teaching literary arts workshops to youth. She’s taught on college campuses, within locked-down facilities and even as far away as Uganda. Maddy recently made a guest appearance on the Oakland TV series, The North Pole Season 2 and was featured on the song, “Black Grxl Magic” by GRAMMY-nominated hip-hop for kids group, Alphabet Rockers. Last year Maddy worked with Emmy-nominated director, Contessa Gayles, on a stunning music video for her single “God Talk feat. Xiomara.” Her overall mission is to leave an imprint on a shifting cultural landscape, one in which young people’s dreams for peace can take root!
