Mannie Jay was born on August 10, 1988 in New Orleans, LA but grew up in Compton, Ca most of his childhood. He officially produced and co-wrote his first record in 2013 landing him his first placement with a signed artist. Soon after he found success as a recording artist by displaying his skills with featured verses and hooks for fellow artists. While still setting the goal to be known globally he prefers producing for upcoming local artists because it keeps him grounded. Mannie Jay is currently working on an EP beat-tape titled "Beats By Mannie Jay" set to release November, 2021.
