MarQus Romelle

As part of the recent UK movement Marqus-Romelle's high energy, real and unique style blesses us with a world-class multi-talented Singer, Songwriter, Actor, Dancer and Choreographer straight from Chapeltown, Leeds. Marqus has taken his career to the next level by going to L.A, California to record, shoot videos and write with the industries best. He was snapped up by Stedman of legendary group ‘5 Star’ to work his choreography magic and tour extensively throughout the UK, Europe and the Caribbean. Marqus also became one of the UK's top unsigned acts placing top 3 out of 10,000 entries in Live and Unsigned UK 2008. Off the back of this, he was then nominated for a Vodafone music award up for best unsigned act and was then placed on the Live and Unsigned UK Tour 2009. This lead to further high profile performances up and down the UK through out the next few years alongside the likes of Shaggy, Omarion, Sham, Giggs, N Dubz, Tinchy Stryder and The Saturdays to name a few. As of 2012 he is involved in the up and coming movie COOLIO (check out filmcoolio.com for more information), a British gangster sci Fi flick starring Geoff Bell (Rock’n’Rolla, Business to Business) and legendary boxing promoter Frank Maloney (Lennox Lewis former manager), alongside being on the soundtrack and accompanying cinematic soundtrack video which peaked at #4 on the Reverbnation Chart. This lead to catching the attention of the Movie Video and Screen Awards to which he graced the stage for with an elaborate, high energy performance. Marqus was also voted into the top 5 of Australia's Star Central Magazine's Male Soloist of the Year article. His album is also near completion and getting ready for release as well as working towards reaching his extending fan base from home to the Far East. He also helped cast and performed in British Rock Band Twin Atlantic's music video "Brothers and Sisters". His talents in both the music and the dance world helped draw the attention of world renowned choreographer Tony Stone (choreographer to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake) who he'd met whilst performing at the International Fitness Showcase alongside the dance group, Leodis Collective, of which he is a member of being Captain and Advisor. He is also set to soon work with Tony Stone. Marqus is also an acclaimed songwriter, not just for himself, having been praised for his ability by writers and engineers for the likes of Gladys Knight, *NSYNC, Kci and JoJo and Toni Braxton, but also having written for numerous up coming Artists including Slovakian Rock act, Borra feat. Rytmaus on the song, "To Uz Kde Sme" . Marqus is a strong believer in uplifting the community and giving back to the people. He's choreographed numerous youth theatre productions that reached the stages of the Carriage Works Theatre and the West Yorkshire Playhouse Courtyard Theatre in Leeds. He also has been involved in numerous Arts, Media and Higher Education Summer Schools and youth programmes across Europe.
