Mi.Yayø

Mi.Yayø [my-yay] is a hip-hop artist born and raised in Miami, Florida. Throughout a self-described troubled childhood, moving to various places and schools, Mi.Yayø found himself turning to music time and again, even though his passion in his youth was football. This passion led him to Robert Morris University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he continued to lean on music, which eventually prompted him to start writing his own. When his pursuit of playing in the NFL came to an end, Mi.Yayø began focusing on his music and devoting his time to learning his craft and developing his signature sound of melodic authenticity. Influenced by some of the greats, Mi.Yayø combines the lyrical and rhythmic prowess of the Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac with the wordsmithing genius of Lil’ Wayne and fills his words (determined to both rap and sing) with what can only be described as genuine emotion. After writing under the radar for years, Mi.Yayø finally entered the public eye in 2020, with a slew of singles including the life, love, and heartbreak songs he has become known for such as “Misunderstood” and “Painful Nights.” Now, as an artist always on the move, Mi.Yayø’s goal is to express a true self with authentic feelings and stories through his art that others can relate with and turn to—similar to the bond he has shared with music his entire life.
