Mic Ange7o (formally Mic Angelo the Grand MC) Chicago’s Authentic Voice of Resilience & Realness Hailing from the streets of Humboldt Park, Chicago, Mic Ange7o is a gritty, unfiltered voice in underground hip-hop. With a career spanning over a decade, his music is a raw reflection of his tumultuous life—an unfiltered narrative of street struggles, personal battles, mental health, love, loss, and societal injustice. Born August 16, 1986, Mic Ange7o’s journey is marked by tragedy and resilience. Losing his father at age 5 to violence, navigating family trauma, gang conflicts, and personal demons, he’s faced the depths of darkness. Despite these hardships, his passion for storytelling through poetry and music became his salvation. Starting in the early 2000s, Mic Ange7o began crafting his voice. His early mixtapes—Blessed & Cursed Volumes 1 & 2, Eat or Die Starvin with Dickumz Da Ox, Hatin Soul and Dead Serious—along with his underground battles cemented his reputation as a fierce lyricist and storyteller. His contributions to BG The Profit’s Creed of Assassins mixtape in 2009, alongside heavyweights like Rick Ross, marked his rise in the local and online scenes. His debut project, The Art of Mic, funded by M4H Records, faced setbacks due to label disputes but was finally released only as a physical copy in 2012. In 2021, it was released as The Art of Mic Vol. 1.2, a digital version adding new tracks to reconnect with fans old and new. Throughout his journey, Mic Ange7o has navigated the pitfalls of street life, addiction, mental health battles, and personal loss—experiences that fuel his uncompromising lyricism. As the founder of Indi Genius Media LLC, he’s also a mentor and activist, speaking out on issues like fathers’ rights, mental health awareness, and 2nd amendment advocacy. His music isn’t just about struggles—it’s about overcoming, resilience, and reclaiming power. Currently, Mic Ange7o is working on his most anticipated album yet, featuring collaborations with major artists, as he continues to stay true to his roots and push boundaries.
