Who is Mike Terrell?
There are artists who wait for their moment, and then there is Mike Terrell. A Philadelphia native now based in Los Angeles, Mike has spent years being the secret weapon behind some of the biggest music in the world. Now he is stepping to the front.
A singer, songwriter, vocal producer, and actor, Mike's voice has been a constant in rooms most artists only dream about. He served as a core vocalist for the Kanye West Sunday Service Choir from 2021 to 2024. He toured the West Coast with Post Malone and Alicia Keys. He provided supporting vocals on Chloe Bailey's "In Pieces," contributed to recordings with Stevie Wonder, Davido, and Yung Bleu featuring John Legend, and appeared on the Book of Clarence film soundtrack. He recently served as the principal supporting vocalist for Jon B and remains a touring vocalist with Jonathan McReynolds.
That McReynolds connection has produced two of the most significant moments of Mike's career. In 2024, he earned a Grammy accreditation as a supporting vocalist on McReynolds' "My Truth" (Best Gospel Album). In 2026, he received a Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Song on McReynolds' brand new album "Closer" — a credential that speaks to the level of artistry Mike brings to every room he enters.
As an actor, Mike is equally credentialed. He carries television credits on Empire, The Chi, Chicago P.D., Twenties (BET, recurring), and Wu-Tang: An American Saga (Hulu), in addition to regional theater and Off-Broadway work. Trained at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts and Columbia College Chicago (Theater Arts / Music Business), he brings a rare combination of technical training and real-world elite-level experience to everything he touches.
His debut single "Red Flags" introduced the world to Mike Terrell the solo artist. His latest release "Down" makes the statement — soulful, cinematic, and undeniably his. Both are out now on all platforms. The man who built careers for others is now building his own. The moment is no longer coming. It is here.
