Mikey Rockstar

Michael Duru (Mikey Rockstar) is a Artist, Director, and Filmmaker. Michael first discovered music at the age of 5. His Mom played Gospel music and his Dad played Jazz music in his house all the time. He fell in love with music at the age of 7 when his older sister was watching MTV. Michael began watching music videos and trying to mimic all the artists he saw on MTV. He didn't know what he was doing at the time but everything he saw and listened to led him to take music seriously at the age of 14 when he was a freshman in high school. He released a few singles and gained popularity at school for his music. Michael began writing stories when he was 10 years old and this developed his love for English at school. He fell in love with visuals and was fascinated with how they were made because he was exposed to so many music videos from a young age. He fell in love with film after watching Kevin Abstracts 'Runner' music video and soon after he got deeper into films and movies.
