About
Millie Go Lightly is a songwriter and performer hailing from the UK, who burst onto the music scene with her dynamic collaboration with Atlanta rapper Young Thug. An Atlanta legend, Thug enlisted the help of Millie on “Family Don’t Matter” and “She Wanna Party” two cuts from his gold certified commercial mixtape Beautiful Thugger Girls after a chance mix-up with a Wheezy beat.
Born and raised in a rural English village, Millie displayed an interest in music from an early age and subsequently developed an obsession with hip-hop and old school R&B. Armed with GarageBand and a great deal of inspiration ranging from Stevie Nicks, Gwen Stefani, Frank Sinatra, to 50 Cent, Millie began her first song writing endeavor at age 7 and never looked back.
Through sheer force of will, Millie landed in the studio with Young Thug and ended up embarking on a European tour with him which included a headline slot at the 50,000 capacity Wireless Festival. From there, Millie’s career began.
Since moving to Atlanta, Millie has collaborated with multi platinum award winning producers across the US including Quay Global, Lex Luger, Jetsonmade, and Wallis Lane. Embedding herself in the Atlanta scene, she has appeared on projects and has collaborated with Gunna, Lil Yachty, Jack Harlow and with 21 Savage’s SlaughterGang label on the ‘Spiral’ Soundtrack from the SAW film franchise. Keeping the connection to home, Millie appeared on her first British rap project on Aj Tracey’s sophomore album ‘Flu Game’ which topped the UK chart at number 2.
Moving into 2022, Millie is now focused on the release of her own music with her first EP due to drop.
