Born and raised in the village of Adampura, Bathinda amid the rugged, barren lands of Punjab MIRZA’s earliest memories are soundtracked by his father’s incredible collection of over 200 Punjabi folk cassette tapes. Starting out by singing old folk songs at home, MIRZA soon found the courage to take the stage, performing in school competitions and eventually opening for a rock band at a local art fest. Drawing deep inspiration from icons like Sidhu Moosewala, Gurdas Maan, Kanye West, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saab, MIRZA weaves together the poetic storytelling and emotional soul of Punjabi tradition with the fearless innovation of Hip Hop/Rap. Every beat and lyric is both a tribute to his roots and a bold step forward, challenging and breaking traditional stereotypes within Punjabi music. The name MIRZA pays homage to Punjab’s legendary outlaw—a great lover, betrayed and ultimately killed—a story symbolizing resilience, passion, and heartbreak. It’s a powerful reflection of MIRZA’s own journey, fusing the intense emotions of his homeland with a modern, boundary-pushing sound.
