MKOFTEN

MKOFTEN is a psychedelic rap project formed by Lord Spooky and O'Mally the Alley Kat. The project began in Springfield, Missouri. In 2019, the duo launched into the local scene with their mixtape "1966". The following year, MKOFTEN released "DREAM CITY", their first studio album. These tapes showed the duo’s commitment to deeply meaningful lyrics with unique delivery, diverse instrumentation, and psychedelic visuals. The duo values creative evolution. They constantly experiment with new sounds rather than limiting themselves to a single genre. To ensure their freedom as artists, MKOFTEN is dedicated to self-ownership. All cover art and merch designs are made personally by the artists. Whenever possible, the duo partners with and supports live instrumental musicians. MKOFTEN challenges the very notion of identity, as both artists continue to release solo projects under the MKOFTEN banner. These solo projects include "Young Stumble the Space Wizard" (Lord Spooky) and "A Walk Through the Garden" (O'Mally the Alley Kat). The duo is currently recording several studio albums, collaborating with larger artists. They cannot wait to share this with you.
