Steven Thomas, born on November 23, 1976, in Chicago, Illinois, began his creative journey at the age of ten after moving to White Cloud, Michigan. His passion for songwriting ignited in seventh grade as a means of expressing feelings, particularly towards girls he felt too shy to approach. This early love for music became a vital outlet for his emotions and storytelling. After graduating high school in 1994, Steven attended college for a year before enlisting in the United States Air Force. His military experience was transformative; while stationed in the United Kingdom, he connected with fellow airmen who shared his musical interests. Together, they aimed to establish the first independent record label operated by active-duty military members. In 2001, their efforts culminated in the release of a compilation album, which received airplay from major stations like Vibe FM and Choice FM. However, the label eventually disbanded, leading Steven to a new chapter in his life. For the next decade, he navigated a corporate career while mentoring emerging artists, including his youngest brother, Jaimmie Thomas, known as **YSTRESS**. Under Steven’s guidance, YSTRESS released the critically acclaimed EP *Stress Free* in 2023. Despite achieving stability in the corporate world, Steven's passion for music remained strong. In October 2025, he experienced a creative resurgence, leading him to write and produce fervently. Within two weeks, he completed his first solo project—a deeply personal collection of songs, blending his own vocals with AI-generated ones to deliver heartfelt lyrics. This project marks a significant return to his roots in music, demonstrating his enduring commitment to artistic expression.
