Nes Powers

Nes is a songwriter/producer from Jersey City NJ. Music was not the planned career when she sort of, unknowingly auditioned for the Force MD's. Within a year, that chance meeting would be the catalyst to working with super producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and Raja-Nee. Shortly after she would find herself getting an elevated crash education into songwriting as a professional within the walls of Flyte Tyme Studios. Here she would hone her writing/producing skills and go on to work with and/or write for other top musicians like Anne Nesby, Johnny Gill, Big Jim Wright, Salt-N-Pepa and Queen Latifah. After a long hiatus from music, Nes has returned not just as a songwriter but also as a vocalist! She collaborated with the exceptionally gifted award winning producer, William "Sure Will" Clark and the power house vocalist/ producer Raja-Nee' to create her very first single, the smooth neo-soul R&B hit "Love Me Anyway". With nearly no promotion, a strong suggestion from Raja-Nee' and the UK's overwhelming support of the song, this single would solidify Nes as an artist to watch. Her newest single "Stick To Me Like Rain" was produced by chart topping producer Christopher Valentine. Her forthcoming album, "Everything About Me Is Dif'rent", is due for release in October 2022.
