About

Born in Jacksonville, Fl. Fredrick was born to a mother that sung in night clubs and a father that played several different instruments. Including piano, guitars, sax, and bass. All missing one finger. He grew up listening to the music his parents loved. Brothers Johnson, Stevie Wonder, The SOS Band, Anita baker and many others. “I always loved music since I can remember, even before hip hop.” Hip hop changed 10 yr old Fredricks’ life in 1986. With the release of “Peter Piper” by Run Dmc, Eric B and Rakim “Erik B is President” , the Beastie Boys “License to Ill” and 2 Live Crews “2 Live is what we are”. He was officially a hip hop head. “My momma got me a boombox that Christmas and all I did was play my tapes and walk around the northside of Jacksonville bumpin them shits.” He laughs as he recalls the memories. “I still know damn near every song off them albums by heart.” In “87” his mother moved him and his older sister to Orlando Fl. In the infamous “Mercy Dr.” neighborhood in West Orlando. It was nicknamed “Murder Drive” due to all of the project housing, robbery and homicides. Fredrick was known as “The managers son” during the first 7 years of living in Orlando. His mother was the manager of the subsidized housing they lived in. Known as “Palm Grove Gardens”. He was introduced to what would become a life of crime during this period of his life. After 3 stints in the Florida department of Corrections, those days are long behind him. Didn’t stop him from having 13 children in the process.😏 Now Fredrick, or Freedo, is one of his own favorite artist. “Content, flow, delivery, character plus trying to keep our culture authentic and real. I’m one of the best dudes rapping.” he says. He was signed to a record label called “B.D.O. Records in 2008. But the owner was arrested and given 20 years in prison for embezzlement before Freedo could release a record. Now, Fredrick has his own label and is signed to himself. Us Against The World E.N.T. Inc. “I just want to put out music and movies that change the way people think. They might not always like how or in what way the message is given, but it’ll always be positive in the end.” O.G. Freedo is an inspiration to both young and old. And an honorable example of never quitting. Look forward to hearing and seeing a lot of remarkable things from him in the future.
