About
Born in Vallejo, Ca, moved to Fairfield, Ca at the age of 5 Rasel spent his time growing up back and fourth in both Bay Area towns. Rasel was raised by his mother along with 6 other siblings, he’s the fourth oldest. Rasel isn’t your average Vallejo artist displaying his immense skill in lyricism in songs such as “Realestate” & “UNCHAINED” to now indulging & specializing in melodies showcased in songs like His remix to Khalid’s “LOCATION” & his most latest song “Matador” off of his debut project “Days In The Dark”. Matador is a universal vibe that has the potential to connect with many on both an emotional and relatable level. Everyone has gone through breaks up in someway or another. You can’t deny the sadden/relatability feel to the song off of the first lyrics “I hate breaks, cause breaks are breakups” we’ve all been there before. Rasel delivers a smooth melodic tone, but yet lyrical throughout his verse making references to foundation makeup, Tory Lanez track B.L.O.W and Drakes’ 2011 song Good Ones Go off his second studio album Take Care. Matador sets the bar visual and song wise categorizing Rasel in a category of his own amongst his Bay Area peers.
