Rell Jerv

You may not think of Wilmington, Delaware as a hotbed of hip hop, but one of the genre’s brightest shining up-and-comers was born and raised in the city that he still calls home today. 26-year-old Derrell Jervey, known to the world as Rell Jerv, is looking to carve out his own lane in the game. Popping up on some of the industry’s premiere hip hop online destinations praising his flow, lyrical originality, tone, live performance and freestyles all started to come as the critics and masses alike began to realize that the Delaware native is far from the average MC. “It is evident Jerv is an abstract lyricist who hones a smooth approach and signature stage presence,”said The Source. 
 In January of 2018, Rell made an appearance on FOX’s “The Four” where he quickly got the attention of the heavyweight panel of judges consisting of Diddy, DJ Khaled, Meaghan Trainer and Charlie Walk. The viewers also took note as he not only made it to a second episode but also multiplied his online fanbase in just a couple of days. 
 By 2019, the name Rell Jerv seemed to be penetrating the circles of the industry’s elite, releasing a number of singles (For Pete’s Sake, Spose to do feat. Fred the godson etc.) creating more traction among fans and industry heads. In May of 2020 Jerv dropped “Vol 1. Savior”. Looking to build consistency in 2021, Rell has a bevy of releases ready to follow, for his current and future fans to sync their teeth into.
