Siwakhile Dlamini (born June 28 2000), known professionally as Amrig, is an independent Swazi rapper, songwriter and overall musician currently based in Los Angeles, USA. Born in Manzini, Swaziland and raised in the same city, Amrig began recording music at the age of 16. Amrig found his love for music at an early age which led to him picking up piano lessons and playing at his local church. It was only at the end of high school where he decided to take music seriously because his friend (and now producer) Lusch decided to invest in a recording mic. The artist released his first full-length project titled "Off-Kilter" in September 2023 & his recent release "First Dance" looks to establish Amrig's place as an artist to look out for. His catalogue showcases his ability to build worlds for his audience to find comfort in, all while being vulnerable and honest. The hip hop artist, whose name is an acronym that reads “Allow My Rise Into Greatness” captures real life experiences and feelings in his records with the assistance of his lyrical ability and signature flow. With the skill to shift effortlessly from producing upbeat bangers (like 7/11 Freestyle) to sombre calmer records (such as Star), Amrig is a versatile artist intent on bettering his music and gaining international acclaim.
