Born Johari Willis on the Southside of Chicago, IL, the 24-year-old excelled at all things music from the early age of 6. Starting off with the aspirations of being a rapper, from enjoying the videos people like Fat Joe, Outkast, Ludacris, and Tupac Shakur. His urge to be a star advanced as he grew older At the age of 9 he joined the choir once he, his two younger sisters, mother, and stepfather, moved to Norfolk Virginia, where he wasn’t quite ready for stages but alone he wrote whatever his thoughts lead him towards. Well into his preteen and teen years he got into dancing, performing in talent shows, battles around the school/neighborhoods.
A Morris Brown College graduate focused on being honest with himself as he grows older. The music is from a straightforward perspective. What do you think about every day? I think about love a lot. The love I want/give myself, the love of relationships, the love of friendships.
Everybody needs love from somewhere.
