About

United Masters is excited to unveil Rytas's new single, "Cold in California"  This future pop track blends aspects of rap, indie, and pop. Rytas merges a catchy indie guitar riff with deep ambient vocals to create an energetic yet somber tone. The drums drive the song, make it feel as if it swings from side to side.  "Woke up to a sunny night It's been three days and I'm stuck inside I got a clean slate but I'm terrified of all the overjoyed, paranoid walking the line"  The song tells the story of a struggling musician who locks himself inside for 3 days to curb his writer's block and deal with the ups and downs of being a musician. It starts off rather chaotic, with multiple voices all talking over each other. Rytas wanted to highlight the over saturation and stress of the music industry. He raps about the notion that artists should find their niche and never stray from it. Since Rytas has always made music for his own enjoyment, the idea that this passion may be tainted by the insincerity of commercial success is outlandish.  "Cold In California" comes out on all major platforms May 8th, 2021 How to help: Pre-saving music helps artists to get noticed by spotify's algorithms and editorial playlists.
