Sam (WN) (Pedro Samuel dos Santos Veiga) is a Portuguese artist with Angolan and Portuguese heritage, blending hip-hop, reggae, dancehall, and afrobeat into a unique and dynamic sound. Born and raised in Lisbon, Sam began his musical journey playing trumpet in an orchestra before turning to rap at 14, using music to navigate his experiences as an orphan in institutional care. Starting in the underground rap scene, Sam quickly made a name for himself with his powerful performances and raw storytelling. His journey later took him to Germany and the Netherlands, where he began producing and recording his own music, marking a new chapter in his creative evolution. Sam’s music reflects his African roots, personal struggles, and the resilience of the African diaspora. Influenced by his mixed heritage and Rastafari values, his lyrics explore themes of identity, social justice, and empowerment. With a sound that bridges continents, he stays true to his roots while creating music that inspires and connects audiences.
