About

Samantha Lee is one of Canadian country music’s most exciting rising voices—known for her powerhouse vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and magnetic stage presence. Blending the timeless soul of Connie Smith with the bold edge of Carrie Underwood, Samantha delivers both emotional ballads and high-energy anthems that resonate across generations. What began as busking at farmers’ markets in small-town Alberta has grown into a rapidly ascending career built entirely from the ground up. Samantha didn’t start with connections, a team, or a clear path—she started with a guitar and a voice she felt compelled to share. She has built everything through persistence, self-investment, and an unwavering belief in her craft. In 2023, she won the Voice of BVJ competition and performed for over 10,000 fans on the Big Valley Jamboree stage. By 2024, she had played Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Café and Troubadour Theatre, earned the NACMAI “Most Promising Song” award, performed more than 60 shows across Alberta, and was selected by Country Music Alberta to showcase during CCMA Week. Her breakout single Little Big Words (released August 22, 2025) marked a major turning point, quickly surpassing 197,000 streams across platforms, earning thousands of radio spins, and gaining widespread playlist support. Alongside fan-favorites Lifetime and Heaven Gained an Angel, her music showcases her depth as a storyteller and her undeniable vocal power. She continues to work closely with Aaron and Victoria Goodvin and their company, For the Record, who were instrumental in the success of her latest original release—helping her refine her sound, sharpen her creative direction, and solidify her long-term artistic vision. In 2025, Samantha’s momentum soared. She lit up festival stages including Beaumont Music Festival, Ponoka Stampede, Cold Lake’s CPCA Chuckwagon Exhibition, and Bow Valley Boot Stomp Festival. She toured with The Best Damn Country Bar Tour, opened for The Dirt Road Angels and Eric Kane, performed with Second Son, and headlined Daisy’s Saloon in Edmonton. She also became a regular national anthem singer for the Edmonton Riverhawks at RE/MAX Field. That same year, she received a special invitation from legendary entertainer Danny Hooper to join him on stage during his sold-out 50th Anniversary show—marking another major milestone in her live performance journey. Through the Global Country Star Search program, she also secured a recurring feature with the Bev Munro Dances house band, stepping in unrehearsed—an earned reputation that highlights her versatility, professionalism, and natural musicianship. Now heading into 2026, Samantha feels she is stepping into a new chapter—one defined by momentum, clarity, and confidence in her artistic identity. Her music is stronger. Her performances are stronger. Her vision is clearer. She is no longer waiting to be discovered; she has built a foundation and is ready to expand it. With fearless energy, a rapidly growing fanbase, and a sound that blends classic country soul with modern edge, Samantha Lee isn’t just knocking on country music’s door—she’s kicking it wide open.
