Daniel Wohuruche Chijioke, is a fast rising Nigerian music artiste known as Sawd Yute. He started exploring music from a tender age during secondary school days in Port Harcourt. From flexing his lyrical muscles through constant freestyle sessions with other enthusiastic upcoming music acts. Prior to when he went further to advance his interest into learning musical instruments.
In 2019, he made an unofficial music release under the moniker as Alte Boy, exclusive to Audiomack titled “Seniorita.” 2024 came, he dished out his official debut single titled “Aye.” A sound more like an encapsulation of everything he desires coined into a prayer of request from the almighty. For Sawd Yute, reality has been a huge source of inspiration for him when making music. It is about discovering and documenting diverse life experiences.
The journey for Daniel Wohuruche Chijioke musically known as Sawd Yute in the past 7years, has seen him evolve from bearing diverse names such as Swaggito, Young D, Daniel Dezzy and Alte Boy. Prior to when he got a deeper understanding about himself in 2021 which led to his current moniker Sawd Yute. For Daniel Wohuruche Chijioke, Sawd Yute translates to a “Specially and wonderfully designed yute,” and he is not just speaking for himself alone but to other young creators and ambitious individuals out there in the world.
While he looks up to the likes of Burna Boy, Rema, Wizkid, Olamide and others. He looks forward to expanding by working with acts such as J. Cole, Seyi Vibez, Phyno, Burna Boy, Rema, Wizkid, Ogc Maraji amongst others. However, he envisions himself as one of those fresh crop of talents rising from Nigeria and is rightly representing with new school energy. Unraveling relevant tales through his music that could easily connect and leave a lasting impression on listeners. Last month, he unveiled a second single tagged “Satiramoni,” which captures himself in tune with a higher power as the previous 2024 release. On this most recent offering, he offers prayers once more requesting for a better life and change of level.
