Quarter Tha Great started creating music when at the early age of nine years old,. Born and raised in North Chicago Illinois to single mother, not having a strong black man in the house he found his purpose while escaping in his music. His older cousin Carmen was an avid hip hop head and had every album you could imagine, while his auntie Sarah (RIP) was a heavy R&B Soul this influenced him & planted a dream in him to share his story through rhymes. He would hear Run Dmc in the basement blaring & would walk upstairs to hear the soulful music of Marvin Gaye, Rick James, and other legends like Smokey Robinson. So, from the music taste of his mother's side and the natural musical talent of that he heard from his other family members we are now gifted with Quarter Tha Great a writer, lyrics, artist, & future God Mc.... After traveling many tough roads from the harsh streets of North Chicago he finds himself in a partnership with Music Mogul & Grammy nominated producer/music industry veteran artist Malissa “Mali Hunter" with her label StoneWood Music. Introduced to her by Producers Ronzeyl & Bad. Look for classic vocals & heart from this MC. His story of overcoming the adversity of carrying the hardships inside has been an inspiration to his entire community. Quarter decided in 2000. That he would no longer be the 700lb guy that spit hot fire an has worked hard to loses over 300lbs naturally inspiring many to move a healthier lifestyle. With this new team & the hope inside his rhymes & his drive are going to make a mark that encourages others and catapult him to stardom beyond what anyone could ever imagine!
