Wassup people. PSA: Im telling you now, don't expect a super corporate bio and look. I am here doing music and expressing myself because I would like to be able to be myself in the world, which we know is something that is purposefully made difficult, especially for people of color. So basically, don't expect to change my swagger to keep you comfortable. Now that that's over with, Im Shea. I was born and raised in Memphis, Tn. I have been writing songs since elementary school, but it wasn't until high school that I discovered my very first urge to make music. I had attempted many times before to do music, but I was always denied the opportunity. I was denied from school bands because " I didn't take band in middle school." (The middle school i went to didn't have a band.) I tried to get my mother to place me in these engineering classes when I was young, but my mother told me they were too expensive. So when I got my first opportunity to go to school and learn what I really wanted, I chose to attend Middle Tennessee State University and study Audio Production in 2015. After two years of college I transferred to The University of Memphis. It is at the University of Memphis that I learned that as a hip hop artist you have two options. You can be industry or you can be "In-da-streets"( Independent). The main difference being that one allows you to be yourself and other forces you to conform and be treated unfairly. After a long journey, transferring schools, and 5 years hard work and development, I realized that there are many different sides to the music industry.
