About

Born in a small town of Hopkins County, Dawson Springs, I, Dustin Kent Wallace, emerged as SmokeGawdThaTrapPharaoh. Growing up in a low-income community and confined to the walls of an apartment, I found solace and escape through music. Unlike most, my early exposure to music was not hip hop. Instead, I was surrounded by the sounds of hair bands and metal from the 70s and 80s. It wasn't until I stumbled upon a mysterious cassette tape, with no writing or labels, that my world was forever changed. Popping it into my Walkman, I discovered the captivating sounds of Tupac Shakur. From that moment on, I craved more. The raw and honest lyrics of hip hop became my refuge as I navigated the challenges of my upbringing. Unfortunately, life threw another devastating blow my way when my father passed away when I was just 18 years old. This loss sent me spiraling into self-destructive behaviors, falling into the wrong crowds, and succumbing to the allure of drugs. My life soon became a series of run-ins with the law, as I found myself in and out of jail. The struggle, pain, and addiction became the backdrop of my story, but I refused to let it define me. It was during these darkest moments, grappling with my demons, that I realized the transformative power of music. Through my own artistry, under the moniker SmokeGawdThaTrapPharaoh, I began to channel my pain and experiences into lyrics and beats that were both authentic and unapologetically true to my journey. But my transformation didn't happen overnight. I faced numerous obstacles along the way, and continue to do so. Yet, with each setback, I emerged stronger and more determined to share my story and connect with others who have faced similar struggles. Today, as I continue to release my music and collaborate with fellow artists, I am grateful for the platform provided by United Masters. Their unwavering support and innovative tools have allowed me to amplify my voice and reach a wider audience, spreading a message of hope and resilience to those who feel trapped in similar circumstances. My story, rooted in a small town and marked by adversity, serves as a reminder that each one of us has the power to rise above our circumstances. As SmokeGawdThaTrapPharaoh, I am determined to rewrite the narrative and inspire others to believe in their own potential, regardless of where they come from. With my birthday on July 9, 1989, I am now 34 years old and fully committed to using my music to uplift, empower, and create change. Through my journey, I hope to make a lasting impact on the world and prove that the human spirit can overcome even the most daunting challenges.
