Solo Nitty Gritty of Puerto Rican desent is a pioneering Nashville MC who has passionately crafted his art over two decades. Inspired by golden era greats like Rakim and Nas, Nitty Gritty began honing his signature raw yet gangsta flow in the late 90s underground.
Through early mixtapes like 'The Grind Don't Stop' and 'The Come Up,' Nitty established a devoted following for his skilled lyricism and gritty boom bap-inspired sound. By the 2000s, he had collaborated with rising stars like Rass Kass and Kurupt, as well as established West Coast legends.
Accolades soon followed, including 2018's 'Underground Music Awards RAP Artist of the Year! That year, Nitty's single 'Miranda' received a 'Best Pop Single' nomination at the AEE Music Awards in the UK. He was also honored with a 'Best RAP Group' award for collaborative work.
In 2016, a tragic accident left Solo Nitty battling epilepsy, brain damage and multiple injuries. Against staggering adversity, he regained his identity and musical talents through perseverance. This inspiring comeback only deepened Nitty's advocacy through vulnerable songwriting.
Nitty continues sharpening his lyrical abilities. With legendary co-signs, international acclaim and survival of immense challenges, he solidifies his status as a pioneering legend.
