Hailing from Riviera Beach, known locally as "da Raw," Souljah's upbringing was anything but conventional. From a young age, he faced the harsh realities of life in the trenches. Living in a household overshadowed by a drug-addicted father who was more consumed by hustling than parenting, Souljah and his siblings learned to fend for themselves. His mother, though trying her best to hold the family together, often found herself overwhelmed by the weight of their circumstances. As he grew older, Souljah found himself in a turbulent relationship with authority. The streets became both a sanctuary and a battleground, leading him in and out of juvenile detention. Each stint behind bars served as a painful reminder of the choices he was making and the life he was leading. Yet, with every setback, he developed a fierce resilience and a hunger for change. Determined to break the cycle of violence and addiction that plagued his family, Souljah channeled his experiences into his music. He co-founded GETOE CIRCLE ENT LLC, a creative outlet that not only showcases his artistry but also aims to uplift and empower others from similar backgrounds. Through his lyrics, Souljah Black narrates the struggles, heartaches, and triumphs of life in West Palm Beach, offering a voice to those who feel unheard.
