It wouldn’t make sense to let someone else tell you about me when I’m right here. I’m SS Benny, a multi-genre influenced RnB artist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
My sounds are a blend of my environments, a chaotic calm that culminated from the different lives I’ve lived—from growing up in Abuja, Nigeria to Ottawa, Ontario then back, eventually moving to Uganda and then finding myself in Manitoba.
I started out solely as a songwriter for others. That was short-lived, and eventually led me here, a twenty-something year old singer, songwriter, sound engineer, making what I want to hear, crafted with my producers at Sweetrsnd—psychedelic sounds with a feeling of nostalgia and comfort.
