Starke Sounds

Starke Sounds is the music project of writer, producer, and composer Ethan Starke. Built around a producer-curated model, the project blends lounge soul, downtempo R&B, and cinematic jazz textures into a distinctive late-night soundscape. Each release features different vocalists while maintaining a consistent sonic identity shaped by Starke’s production and songwriting. The music is rooted in atmosphere. Warm bass lines, Rhodes piano, restrained percussion, and subtle horn arrangements create a sound designed for night drives, quiet conversations, and city lights after dark. Rather than centering the vocalist as the defining element, Starke Sounds operates as a curated sonic world in which voices move through a carefully crafted musical environment. Starke, a Los Angeles–based creator with a background in writing, film, and production, approaches music with the same storytelling sensibility found in his other work.
