Tah Scola

Born and raised in West Baltimore, Tyrone Horton, a intelligent young poet with a nack for words and a unyeilding love for Hip-Hop. Scola's love in rap was always evident, from the times of beating on school cafeteria tables, to present day, as he strives to create art which he calls "Poetry In Motion". In Highschool, Scola, who then was "Lil Ty" came together with a few friends, which included Songwriter/Producer, Don Trunk; to create the well loved group, "BlockHustlers". His style, modeled after his favorite rapper Tupac, was more poetic and so closely crafted towards spoken word, which he later also took time performing. In 2004, Scola joined the group, "Welding Productions", where he was then known as TAH Murder. At that time, he spent alot of time in the strip club arena which turned to be the best promotion for his musical adventures. While not having much success as an artist at Welding, he met some very well known people in the community at that time in, Comp and Shaka Pitts, who later inducted him into the versly talented network "The Spitters Club", where he grew to become a better artist until the birth of his second child, which forced him to take time away from the craft he loved so much. For years, Scola has been back and forth, in and out of the music scene due to personal issues and losing love for a music scene which he battled with for a majority of his artistic career. The Return of Scola came with a feature on album of local group CuttThroat & Sayne of YellowTape Ent.(South Baltimore). From that feature he hooked up with longtime friend and former group member Don Trunk, who at this time was on way to starting Dream 1st Studio. This was the beginning of a special era of music of Scola. Feeling like a change was needed, TAH decided to bury the name TAH Murder. This decision, was the birth of TAH Scola!!! TAH Scola has released 3 EPs; Sophisticated Love Notes, Return of TAH Murder, and ScolaVision. He then hooked up with fellow Baltimore Artist, Nogam3, to form Stoners Anonymous and released a project under the name of the group.
