About
In 2017, Tank God had no idea that the beat he created after studying for college finals would lead him to one of the hottest rappers in the industry. "Rockstar" by Post Malone, co-produced by Tank God, reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and to date has billions of streams. Even with this success and a publishing deal, platinum producer and rapper Tank God understands that in today's market music can become "old" the day after it's released. "It's all about what you do next."
Born Olufunmibi Awoshiley, Tank God grew up in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan admiring Biggie and Timbaland. Although he loved music, at 15 he decided to become a doctor after making the promise to his sister's close friend's mom before she passed away. He later enrolled in the University of Hartford (CT) as a biology major but continued to work on music. The rest (so far) is history. Not only is he a platinum producer but a budding rapper releasing music of his own and through his collective CYN.
"I’m here to motivate and encourage people to follow their dreams. That’s my goal for making music."
