Love Child is a collection of tracks that describe her experiences with love/relationships as well as the journey to finding herself. Raised as an only child she is the eldest of 6 on her paternal side. She was born into a musical family as her mother, father, grandmother, and aunts are all musically inclined. She studied musical theatre at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, and went on to pursue real estate. It wasn't until 2018 when she began writing Love Child that she decided to pursue a career in music. Driven by family/friends she quickly discovered that she had a gift that superseded vocal abilities. Elaine has said that she draws inspiration from Amy Winehouse, India Arie, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott.
