Tequorra

Tequorra is a Lumbee recording artist whose music carries the strength of her people, the stories of her ancestors, and the promise of future generations. Rooted in Robeson County, North Carolina, her artistry brings together Indigenous pride, family history, and personal expression. A high school graduate at 14 and college graduate at 15, Tequorra has shared her talents at powwows, pageants, and national conferences. Through Zoo Ground Productions, she brings her heritage to listeners everywhere. "Lumbee Confession" and “Scuffletown 575,” written by her mother, Lumbee songwriter and advocate Kara Brewer Boyd, honors their family’s survival through the Lowry War and celebrates Lumbee federal recognition. With every song, Tequorra carries her roots forward—honoring those who came before her while creating a voice all her own.
