Teresa Cook - SINGER/SONGWRITER
In the beginning years of her career Teresa Cook worked behind the scenes as a song writer and background vocalist. She used her time wisely and made a point to learn everything she could about the music industry, thanks to her label RAW KONCEPT MUSIC. Teresa Cook has been taught first-hand the ropes of the music industry through her studies at Berklee Music College with a focus of Music Business as well as by gathering first hand knowledge as a songwriter and music publisher.
The Virginia raised singer/songwriter began her career at the age of 15, singing in her first live band "After Hours", a local band in Petersburg, Virginia. Performing with the band only lasted a short while, but this was the push that started Teresa's journey in the music world!
In 2001, after many open mic nights and recording sessions that Teresa Cook was introduced to Grammy Winning Producer Nottz Raw (Kanye West, Bustah Rhymes, Scarface, The Game, Snoop Dogg, Bilal, Rah Diggah, Notorious B.I.G. etc) In the wake of this fate filled meeting, she began her job as the official writer for Teamsta Records working behind the scenes writing for other artists and spending her time developing which has turned into many music filled years in studio with the Teamsta crew..
In November 2006, Teresa Cook released her first album entitled 'Teresa Cook Mamuze ...And it Begins" in Japan. Since then she has had the opportunity to work with super producer Nottz Raw, soul singer Latoiya Williams, Corey Gunz, Khrysis, Inspectah Deck Scarface, Brian "B-Nasty" Reid (Ne-yo), Sara Stokes (P Diddy's Making The Band 1), DMP, producer Jared Gosselin (Macy Grey, Mc Lyte), Dox One (Strong Arm Steady, Camplo) Kleph Dollaz (RIP)(Black Moon, Sean Price) Freddie Mack (guitar, Nappy Roots), Billy Cook (singer/songwriter, Camillionaire, Bun B etc), Royce Da 5'9, Freddie Foxx, Rapper Big Pooh, Pusha T, Joey Badass, and many more.
