Tha Homie Blaze

I am the artist formerly known around town as Blaze but my artist name is "Tha Homie Blaze". I was born in West Point Mississippi, but was raised, most of my life, in Memphis, Tennessee. I accepted Christ at a early age being raised in a family of God fearing parents along with my older sister. Growing up in Memphis I was influenced by my surroundings of gangs, drugs, and violence. I started doing music because it was my stress reliever. I wrote songs to get my feelings out about things I was going through as well as being influenced by the rap artist and musicians in the city. I released my first mixtape in high school, then I joined the military (Navy) and continued songs and mixtapes of violence and explicit lyrics from my childhood influences. After a talk with my dad about my lyrical content in my music I decided to clean up my lyrics and take the cursing out as well as racial slurs. I decided to start adding more positive messages in my songs along with Bible verses. Soon after, God started providing me a bigger platform year after year to release the inspirational, motivational, spiritual music that I promote to the world in which I call W.O.R.K. (Words Of Real Knowledge)
