Thayu Kenneth Mwangi, professionally known as Thayu Mwas, is a Kenyan rapper, music producer, songwriter, and creative. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Thayu Mwas discovered his passion for Hip Hop during his high school years, and was heavily influenced by artists like Kanye West, Pusha T, and Drake. Thayu Mwas started his music career by joining the group Killer Flow Music in high school. After completing his studies, he connected with Asum Garvey, who introduced him to the founder of Hotbox Music. Under the independent music imprint, Thayu Mwas has released six masterful bodies of work, including "Genesis", "Hourglass", "No Rules", "Ghetto Fabulous", "Msella", and "Misfit". He also has well over 80 tracks available online, with a vault full of unreleased and other works in progress at their HotBox Music Creation Base. Aside from music, Thayu Mwas has computer skills and is a creative entrepreneur who motivates young people to have the will and determination to pursue their dreams. He has won accolades in the Hip Hop industry, including the Lord of the Rings Rap Battle held at Riara University, and partnering with other artists to perform at the Shraplife Campus tour across five universities in Kenya. Thayu Mwas' music is not only therapeutic but also inspirational and motivational, reflecting the determination of artists like Meek Mill, Pusha T, and Nipsey Hussle. He has been featured in interviews on various Kenyan radio stations, including Homeboyz and Capital FM, and has appeared on shows like The Basement Show, The Jump Off, The Boys Club and Hip Hop Culture. Thayu Mwas recently released his new track "The Point," which has garnered over 3,000 streams on Spotify. He is also set to drop a new track called "She Love A Gangster" on March 29th, which will be available worldwide on all digital streaming platforms.
