Tortch was always a Rock/Metal head growing up, but it wasn't until he met one of his best friends/Label mate, Donny Don back in middle school! He introduced Tortch to Eminem and that trickled to Tech N9ne, Kendrick Lamar etc. Then naturally, with Tortch's writing skills, he started to write raps! As his writing progressed, so did his flow and style. Pretty soon Tortch had a lot of his peers telling him he has a natural talent in rapping and musical composition. Donny Don and Tortch recorded a few songs back in the day that never seen the light of day. Then high school came. That is when Tortch first met Lyric (Best Friend/Label Mate) and collaborated the first time. Instant musical chemistry and the collaboration was a success! Then, Tortch also met FOOKiE and Young Buhl Sosa. They collaborated on tracks and did their thing then naturally they all came together and created the record label/movement, "Masses Under Rapt". A record label for independent artists. They released their debut collaborative mixtape, "Welcome To aMURica" and the fans were lit! Ever since, they have stuck with #MUR and is striving for everything this profession has to offer. Fortune, Fame, Influence, everything that is rightfully so.
