Tower Rats

Emerging from the shadows of Fresno, California’s Tower District, Tower Rats is a melodic and energetic indie punk band that has been shaped by decades of DIY ethos and each members’ personal journey of music exploration and personal growth. Formed in 2022 after the easing of COVID-19 lockdowns, members of Tower Rats have long performed in local and touring bands such as From Indian Lakes, Watashi Wa, Eager Seas, Dependence, The Martyrs, Elmo Marconi, Old Tire Swingers, The Scarred, Airplane To Nowhere, and many more. Tower Rats take cues from a diverse range of bands, including Jawbreaker, Pup, Culture Abuse, and Jeff Rosenstock, as well as from the cultural and ideological influence of Fresno’s Tower District. Gearing up for their first release, Tower Rats takes pride in introducing their three-song demo produced by Jackie Bootstraps (vocals & guitar) and Nick Kennedy (vocals & guitar). The demo, titled "Studio 9 Demo," will be released as singles throughout the spring and summer of 2023. The first single, "Carnivorous," will be available for streaming on May 23, 2023. Make sure to keep an eye out for these seasoned musical veterans as they start performing on stages across California. In the short time since Tower Rats formed, they have supported surf-punk legends Agent Orange, enigmatic future garage group Great Northern, LA garage pop bands Archer Oh and The Band Ice Cream, as well as local Fresno favorites The Sleepover Disaster, Sun Umbra, Dirty Limbs, Mantis Watch, Judah, and Puppet.
